Allergies

Pili dove into a patch of bramble to avoid her pursuers. Hiding in among the vines, she noticed small red buds all around her. She reached out a gently examine one of the buds. Her finger had barely touched one when the pods all around her began to violently burst into bloom. A sickly sweet thick orange mist of spores sprayed out of the flowers, clouding the area in golden haze. Pili gasped and began to choke on a sudden sharp inhalation of the mist. Doing her best to her best to suppress her coughing, so as not to attract attention, Pili suddenly began to feel strange. Was it just her, or had the jungle just become several degrees hotter. Her body began to pleasantly ache, and small beads of sweat formed on her skin and rolled down the contours of her body. What were these plants? and what had they done to her body? Pili was about to find out...
